"Before you decide you're in love, ask yourself if this love is for someone or for love itself."

A lot many times when we think we have fallen in love with someone, it’s actually the state of emotional high experienced previously in a romantic relationship that we are recalling and, to an extent, reliving. We happen to think that it's our love for the person we desire that is responsible for making us crave regular and elaborate encounters with them. But the reality is that we have become addicted to states of emotional ecstasy, to being in love and being loved back. It is this addiction, this love for LOVE itself that we might mistake for love for a person. We might allow ourselves to be fooled into attaching this love for LOVE to a person, into believing that we are in love with them even when our feelings for them are yet to mature.
